WP7- Outreach, dissemination and training

WP leader: Cagla Kaya - European Forum of Farm Animal Breeders (EFFAB)
Associate WP leader: Tessa Brinker (EFFAB)
Involved partners: EFFAB, INRA, EAAP, FiBL, NOLDUS, RAFT, SRUC, DLO // WR, FA, ALLICE, UNIPD
Stakeholder involvement is crucial for an applied research project such as GenTORE. The stakeholder engagement is based on recognition of different stakeholder types and the development of outreach strategies tailored to them. GenTORE will have stakeholder involvement at multiple levels: L1, L2 and L3 stakeholders (see Stakeholders).
This WP represents a strategy oriented towards maximum interaction of GenTORE with all stakeholders, resulting in an optimal dissemination of GenTORE outcomes and a solid and consistent communication about the project. Therefore WP7 will be of course strongly linked to all other WPs.

Objectives
WP7 focuses on target audiences including: farmers, farm advisors, veterinarians, breeding companies, industry (beef and dairy retailers, farm equipment manufacturers), levy bodies and researchers. Objectives are to:
  • Create and maintain a maximal interaction with stakeholders to ensure consultation on tool design, stakeholder feedback about the progress and potential directions of the GenTORE research.
  • Deliver training in the use of GenTORE strategies and tools to identify, exploit and measure cattle resilience and efficiency; promoting diversity-rich livestock breeding.
  • Drive the effective dissemination, exploitation and implementation of project results, consolidating stakeholders’ own broader networks of dissemination.
  • Ensure that dissemination is achieved at European level.
Tasks
  • T7.1 – Stakeholder engagement and inclusion
  • T7.2 – Project website and YouTube channel
  • T7.3 – Outreach and dissemination
  • T7.4 – Training activities
