WP1 – Production system metrics: Assessing the systems context (FiBL)

This work package integrates geographical, physical, and socio-economic data to characterize local production environments. Read more.

WP2 – R&E biology across growing and adult phases (INRAE)
This work package characterizes key resilience and efficiency traits across different life stages. Read more.

WP3 – On-farm tools to phenotype proxies of Resilience & Efficiency (DLO // WR)
This work package develops resilience and efficiency proxies from precision livestock measures in housed and extensive environments. Read more.

WP4 – Genomic indices for multi-breed selection in different environments (AU)
This work package will extend genomics from major breeds like Holstein to other smaller populations. Read more.
WP5 – Genome-based management indexes; on-farm tools to optimising replacement strategies taking into account expected life-time R&E in dairy and beef cattle (TEAGASC)
This work package will use DNA information complemented with available performance records from the farm to develop a decision support tool that ranks females on their expected lifetime profit accruing for the remainder of their life. Read more.

WP6 – Modelling tools to predict outcomes of possible future scenarios (SRUC)
This work package will develop systemic models that allow representation through time of the herd within a local production environment. Read more.

WP7 - Outreach, dissemination and training (EFFAB)
This work package will focus on establishing and maintaining a maximal interaction with stakeholder through organizing e.g. workshops, conferences, farm visits. Read more.

WP8 – Project management and consortium coordination (INRAE)
This work package focusses on creating a project environment that maximizes interaction between partners and disciplines. Read more.

WP9 - Ethics requirements (INRAE)
This work package ensures all animal experimental work is carried out in accordance with the law and will follow best practise for animal welfare.
